Planche — a free SQL client that runs in your browser

Planche is a free database GUI for MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server and Oracle, hosted databases such as Neon, Supabase and Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare Durable Objects in wrangler dev, and Redis, Elasticsearch and OpenSearch. There is nothing to install for SQLite files, and a one-line local agent for the other engines. No account, no upload of your data, no tracking of your queries.

What you get

How it connects

SQLite: pick a .db / .sqlite file and it is loaded with WebAssembly inside the page — the file never leaves your computer. See the online SQLite viewer.

MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Neon, Supabase, Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare Durable Objects in wrangler dev, Redis, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch: run npx planche in a terminal. It starts a small local agent that talks to your database and opens this page paired to it. Your credentials stay on your machine.

No Node.js? One line installs the agent — curl -fsSL https://planche.dev/install.sh | sh on macOS and Linux, irm https://planche.dev/install.ps1 | iex on Windows. Everything stays inside your home directory, nothing asks for an administrator, and a machine without Node.js gets a private copy of it. Afterwards planche is a command that starts instantly; planche upgrade keeps it current.

Free to use

Planche is free to use, with no account and no upload of your data. A few advanced features need Pro — see pricing. The local agent is published on npm as planche.
